The official typesafe-ai organisation
TypeSafe AI’s GitHub organisation is typesafe-ai. As of September 2026 it lists ten public repos and about 1,240 followers. The ones that matter for Jev builders are the SDKs and the agent skills.
- typesafe-ai/skills — agent skills for building with the System One API (about 2,000 stars).
- typesafe-ai/typesafe-sdk-js — official TypeScript / JavaScript library, published as @typesafe-ai/sdk.
- typesafe-ai/typesafe-sdk-python — official Python library, published as typesafe-sdk.
- typesafe-ai/system-one-adapter-python — drop-in TypeSafeClient backed by LLM APIs.
What you will not find: weights
There is no Jev checkpoint, training code, or RLCD recipe in the organisation. Stars on the SDK repos are not a sign that the model is open. Plan around a hosted API with its own pricing ($0.042 per million input tokens, output free) and version pins such as jev-1.13.0.
GitHub projects people confuse with Jev
Two independent projects rode the same search spike. Laya from Convai Innovations is Apache 2.0 with weights on Hugging Face. OpenJEV is an open-weights model that mirrors the /v1/systemone shape but ships under a non-commercial licence. Neither is Jev.
If you just want to see what Jev returns before reading any repo, the jevmodel.org playground runs the hosted model in the browser with free tokens.

What is the official Jev GitHub?
TypeSafe publishes under github.com/typesafe-ai. The main repos are skills (agent skills for the System One API), typesafe-sdk-js, typesafe-sdk-python, and system-one-adapter-python. None of them contain Jev model weights.
Is the Jev model on GitHub?
No. Jev is a hosted model reached through POST /v1/systemone. The GitHub repos are client libraries and tooling around that endpoint. See /is-jev-open-source for the licensing detail.
What is system-one-adapter-python?
A TypeSafe repo described as a drop-in TypeSafeClient replacement backed by LLM APIs. It lets code written for the TypeSafe client run against other language model APIs — useful for fallbacks and tests, but it is not Jev.
Which GitHub projects run a Jev-like model locally?
Laya (github.com/NandhaKishorM/laya, Apache 2.0) and OpenJEV (Hugging Face openjev/openjev, CC BY-NC 4.0). Both are independent of TypeSafe and use a choice / score / noul interface.
Do I need the SDK to call Jev?
No. It is one JSON POST. Any HTTP client works against api.typesafe.ai, OpenRouter, or https://jevmodel.org/v1/systemone with a jevmodel.org key.
