How much does Jev cost?
TypeSafe lists Jev at $0.042 per million input tokens, and output tokens are free. On jevmodel.org you buy input tokens in packs, starting at $9.90 for 15,000,000 tokens that never expire.
Is there a free Jev tier?
No unlimited free tier. TypeSafe Console showed a $5.00 monthly credit in September 2026. On jevmodel.org, guests get 10,000 input tokens and sign-in adds 100,000 — about 500 typical requests.
Why do output tokens cost nothing?
Jev returns a typed value — a choice, a score, or a yes/no probability — not generated text, so TypeSafe only bills the state and questions you send.
How many tokens does one Jev request use?
In the jevmodel.org playground a typical request uses about 150 input tokens. Long state such as full tickets or logs uses more. Every response reports the exact input token count.
Is jevmodel.org more expensive than TypeSafe?
Per token, yes. You pay for convenience: no vendor account, a browser playground, failed requests refunded, and packs that never expire. At high volume, going direct is cheaper.
